Bigger and Better!

These are UNREAL. Paris I HEART you!
They are so rich, gorgeous, sophisticated and kind of Gossip Girl which we all know I obsess over! They also fit the Coco Tang vibe and feel to a tee.

And then we come across these! December is the month for ball gowns!
I would have loved to see Lara in Viktor & Rolf's crazy ballgowns, especially the one that looks like it's been nibbled away by a mouse. They are extrovert, extreme and I adore them

Elena Kalis Photography

These underwater images by Elena Kalis are appropriately mysterious and give an air of a land that we dont understand. They are amazing! We obviously cant recreate these within our fashion show for Coco but its a good look into the theme further still.

Potential Contents Page...

An idea for the contents page

Introduction
• An analysis of Coco Tang as a business
• The aims of our research
• Our objectives
• The methodology of our research

Where we are
• PEST for the UK focussing specifically on Nottingham
• A market overview; the nightlife market in the UK (in brief for an understanding), the nightlife market in Nottingham. Mention students but not in detail
• Fashion and the nightlife market
• Direct competition
• Indirect competition e.g. other activities that people are choosing to do/ cheap student nights out
• Coco Tang SWOT
• Coco Tang Marketing Mix

Where we want to be
• The desired consumer. Focus in particular upon the fashion students and their skills and courses as opposed to their personalities – how can they be incorporated within the brand in order to be more consumer-focussed. Interview with Henry, focus groups on facebook discussion boards
• An overview of the boutique market, focussing specifically upon Nottingham boutiques
• Direct competition within the Nottingham boutiques
• Indirect competition, for example popular high street stores that the consumer may choose over the boutique – maybe look at LCF and how their design students showcase their work – why would scouts choose Coco over London
• The new Coco Tang Marketing Mix
• The desired USP
• Plan of action/ aims for the brand development e.g. how would we go about placing a store in the new Broadmarsh centre/ how would we go about promoting/ how would we go about launching into the fashion market? Questionnaires with the consumer about which forms of promotion would best work for them
• Wonderland and Fairytale research; films, fashion, fairytale influence

Your private world!

Wow. How perfect are these pictures! Tim Walkers photography is breathe taking.
The mix of halloween and fairy tale is simply devine. I am in love.
Now we need to recreate this.

Into the Woods

I adore this. This Thursday and Friday in London you will be able to a watch a live Vogue photoshoot at Somerset House.
Nick Knight will be snapping Natalia Vodianova until 9pm both days, in a photoshoot based around fairytales. Which fits perfectly with my Coco Tang project. Designers have custom-made outfits for the shoot, which will then be sold at auction, with all proceeds going to The Naked Heart Foundation - Natalia's charity.
It sounds like an exciting shoot - I'm definitely going to try and get down there. I think Natalia is gorgeous and completely fantastic in narrative editorials - especially those with a fairytale theme. Her Alice in Wonderland Vogue shoot still blows my mind, and I loved the Little Red Riding Hood shoot, which she did for US Vogue earlier in the year.
